Reviews

A fantastic place to stay. The owner has thought of everything and we really appreciated the extra touches such as bread and milk already there when we arrived. Highly recommend.

Ms D,

The getting out onto the main road did prove a bit difficult.

Mr W,

The Brakens is a lovely home away from home. The kitchen and entertainment area is fully equipped with all you need and a large double door fridge plus a large gas BBQ outside with a wonderful outdoor seating area. The house was immaculate when we arrived and beautifully decorated with all you need and more. A lovely touch from the owners when we arrived was a fresh loaf of bread and lemon cake from the bakery and fresh milk and butter in the fridge.

Mrs E,

The owners had thought of everything you could possibly need and a lovely touch of leaving us some milk, bread and cake as a welcome

Mrs B,

The Brackens has a real wow factor, from the entrance hall with its quirky oar handrail to the stunning dining kitchen which is any women’s dream, everything has been done to the highest standard. It has stunning views across the fields and hills and the garden would be a perfect place to spend summer evenings with its outdoor spaces. Would definitely return again!

Mr C,

Very well equipped, beds were very comfortable plus the garden was lovely with great views

Miss M,

It was a WOW factor as soon as we opened the front door ! The accommodation was to the highest quality throughout and there was everything needed. The had thought of everything. Loads of space, fantastic views and a great location. Would definitely recommend it and would like to thank the owner for allowing us to stay in such a wonderful property

Mr D,

We spent a lovely week at The Brackens in North Instow, Dorset, October 7-14 2023. The property was immaculate, both in cleanliness and decor. Fabulous kitchen/diner. Plenty of parking at the front. The garden is beautiful and well tended with wonderful countryside views. The very helpful owner lives nearby.

Mrs W,

Absolutely beautiful place to stay. A proper home from home. Very well equipped with lots of unexpected extras. We had the pleasure of bumping in to the owner, who is a lovely, helpful lady. We would definitely stay again and highly recommend The Brackens if you are looking for a peaceful, comfortable break.

Miss O,

Excellent property, really comfortable and perfect for our needs. We definitely plan to return.

Mr M,

A lovely family holiday home, spotlessly clean. The kitchen was well equipped, there was plenty of seating. Had a lovely garden with lovely views and was nice and peaceful after a busy day exploring Dorset. We had an amazing stay and will be booking again. Thank you

Mrs G,

A lovely well equipped cottage with good outdoor space too. The towels could do with being bath sheet size but there were plenty of towels to use. We would recommend this cottage. It doesn't have a high chair or travel cot but we had our own but some people like these things to be available, so if you have a small toddler you need to bring your own. The owner lived next door and was very helpful.
