I have been working for Wyke Dorset Cottages, since 2002 and consider myself very lucky to live and work in such a beautiful seaside town. It is great to pass on information about all the places that I have visited to guests when they come, to help them have a special holiday. Living and working by the seaside does make you feel as though you are on a permanent holiday! I have enjoyed taking in the stunning views whilst walking along the lovely beach, along the coastal path and through the woodland area up to Durlston Castle which has the much known Globe, along with a great cafe/restaurant. There are so many local attractions that I love to take the grandchildren along to see, Monkey World is a very short journey away and Corfe Castle to watch the many re-enactments that take place during the year.
I joined the team in April 2014 and I have worked within the industry for many years. My main role is to help owners get the most out of their properties for not only their benefit but also to ensure the customer has a fantastic experience. I also manage the Swanage office plus recruit new properties for our ever expanding portfolio and love looking round all the varied apartments, cottages and houses that Dorset has to offer.
I’ve lived in the Purbeck most of my life and consider myself lucky for doing so! I love exploring the outdoors with my two dogs, there’s so many places to choose from be it a coastal path, forest walk or trip to the beach - it’s a doggy paradise!!
A Dorset girl, I was brought up in West Dorset. I have fond memories of playing on the beach at West Bay and Lyme Regis, and going on long walks in the countryside. I grew up on a farm, and so love the great outdoors; enjoying all sorts of activities, from camping, to biking, with my family. I’m delighted to represent Wyke Dorset Cottages in West Dorset, and very much look forward to building relationships with the homeowners in the area.
I have been with the team since May 2015, having lived in Swanage for many years and holidayed in our lovely town for even more years before that. I am passionate about the area and all that it has to offer and want people who come to holiday in Dorset to have a similar experience. What more could you want than to stroll along the beach at any time of year, enjoy lunch in one of so many lovely tea rooms in all the little villages and towns around us or to take a longer walk along the coast to revel in the stunning views and landscapes? Life in Swanage is a privilege and when I am not working or walking I love to potter on the allotment, “sing” in the community choir or belly dance in the Carnival and Folk Festivals. If you ever fancy giving belly dancing a go, give me a ring when you are on your holiday! (Or if you are missing your allotment whilst you are away, I can always do with a hand!!).
I have been with the team since September 2016, I am covering for Natalie as a reservations and administration assistant whilst she is on maternity leave; I have lived in Swanage my whole life apart from when I was studying for my degree in Winchester but during my time there I always looked forward to returning to the coast. I am a big fan of the stunning area I live in and enjoy going on walks to take in the breath taking scenery. I find that with Dorset you can always find something new to see or do. When I’m not working you will usually find me at the local cinema, the beach, up a hill or playing my ukulele.
Natalie Ball - currently on maternity leave
I am the reservations and administration assistant at Wyke Dorset Cottages and am Swanage born and bred. I have been working within the industry for many years and would like to think that I have the knowledge on the local area and can answer any questions relating to Swanage and its surroundings. I feel very privileged to have been bought up here and would not want to live anywhere else!
I love enjoying the many stunning walks we have on offer with my pooch. We spend many happy days in the beautiful traditional English woods located just behind where I live. There are so many beautiful attractions in Dorset we are spoilt for choice!!
