Medieval Archery: The Grand Muster at Corfe Castle

28th March to 2nd April and 7th – 12th April - Open daily 10am – 5pm Open daily 10am – 5pm

Spend the day stepping back in time to the 1139 medieval siege of Corfe Castle. See the medieval encampment with skilled combat and archery demonstrations, talks on the longbow and have-a-go sessions at £2.00 on top of the normal entry price.

Poole Quay Dream Machines

The UK’s biggest weekly bike meet starts again for 2015 on April 6th and then every Tuesday until September. This is an exciting event with the entire Quay is closed to traffic and displays of motorbikes line the quay which sometimes exceeds a 1000. A competition takes place every week by an independent Judge, who chooses their favourite bike of the night, all the winners though the Summer are invited back to take part in the Bike of the Year in September. If you are a Motorbike enthusiast you will love this event.

Swanage Railway

17th -19th April

Climb aboard for the Spring Steam Gala, a three day festival of steam with two main line visiting locomotives as well as the Swanage Railways own fleet. Please check the their website for timetables and further information.

Durlston Country Park

Situated one mile south of Swanage lies 280 acres of countryside full of wildlife. Visit the Visitors centre in the recently restored Durlston Castle. A park ranger is always on hand to answer any questions and they also run a full programme of events and tours. Relax and have a coffee or a snack in the Seventhwave, a café by day and restaurant at night. Durlston is the home of the Great Globe, 40 tons of Portland Stone a legacy from the local Victorian business man George Burt. From the clifftops you may be lucky to see a pod of Dolphins who frequent the bay on most days.

Swanage Classic Car Rally and Charity Day
