Broadchurch is Back!

For all of you who were glued to the first two series of Broadchurch, we are sure you will be delighted to know that a third series starts shooting in the beautiful Dorset seaside town of West Bay this summer. If you fancy watching DI Alec Hardy (David Tennant) and DS Ellie Miller (Olivia Coleman) up close, along with new characters played by Julie Hesmondhaigh (Happy Valley) and Charlie Higson (The Fast Show), make sure you book your stay in Dorset soon. You never know, you might find yourself in the background in what will surely be another BAFTA winning series.

Our nearest property to West Bay is Spinners Hatch in the picturesque market town of Beaminster which was the location for the bluebell woods scenes in series two. This property is a Grade II listed building with exposed beams, window seats and modern touches such as WiFi. It's a great place for a family holiday or a break for couples. Don't forget to book your beloved pooch in when you arrange your holiday. Located in the beautiful countryside of West Dorset but close to Bridport, Dorchester and Lyme Regis, Spinners Hatch offers so much.

West Bay is also a great day out if you are staying in any of our properties in Dorset. You can take in Lulworth Cove, Durdle Door and Burton Bradstock en route - try the Hive Beach Cafe in Burton Bradstock, the food there is delicious and the views are spellbinding.

Dorset has been the location for many TV programmes and Films over the years and West Bay alone has featured in Far From the Madding Crowd, River Cottage, Harbour Lights and the Fall and Rise of Reginald Perrin (remember that iconic opening scene where Reggie abandons his clothes on a deserted beach and swims out into the wide blue yonder?) Maybe you too will be inspired by the beauty of Dorset to write your own novel or TV script (if you do, let us know as there are a couple of budding actresses in our office in Swanage!).
