What's going on in West Dorset?  The short answer is - a lot!  Now that we’re in May, all of the towns and villages are in full swing, with a vast array of festivals, and fun days out for all the family.  Here’s our selection of the not-to-be-missed events over the coming months:

A weekend of spring festivities in Bridport, 13th and 14th May

The spirit of Bridport parade at 2.30pm on Saturday will celebrate all aspects of Bridport, using puppets, and models made by local schools and community groups.  Bridport will be buzzing all day, with the Charter Fair in Bucky Doo square; stalls, big band music and entertainment.  On Sunday, the Ropewalk Fair will take place from 11am – 4pm on the Millennium Green: www.bridportandwestbay.co.uk/visit/events

Millfest, Lyme Regis, 13th and 14th May

Part of the national mills weekend, this is a fantastic opportunity to celebrate Lyme’s working watermill, whilst enjoying music, dancing, food, drink, baking and art activities: www.lymeregis.org
