Description
Allviews has lots of character; from wooden beams and an inglenook fireplace in the living room, to exposed stonework upstairs, and pretty window seats in the bedrooms. On the ground floor there is a shower/utility room, kitchen/dining room and a lovely, light conservatory, which leads to an enclosed rear garden, with outside dining table and seating. Upstairs are three bedrooms; a king-sized double, a twin and a single, which has a folding bed for an occasional sixth person, and the family bathroom with a shower over the bath. The views from upstairs stretch far across the surrounding countryside. Allviews feels very spacious, whilst also being a cosy and welcoming base from which to explore West Dorset!
Located in the hamlet of Shave Cross, approximately 5 miles from Bridport, and only 4 miles from the beaches at Eype and Charmouth, Allviews is the perfect getaway to relax and enjoy the beautiful West Dorset countryside. Shave Cross has a charming local pub/restaurant only 500 yards from the property, and is a fantastic location for walking in and around the famous local hills, including Golden Cap and Pilsden Pen. Lyme Regis is within easy reach with its many family attractions.
Situated in the Marshwood Vale, a designated area of outstanding natural beauty, with far reaching views across West Dorset to the Unesco World Heritage Jurassic coast, this delightful period cottage dates back to the 1840s. Over the years, the cottage has been extended and modernised, and now has a lovely, light farmhouse style kitchen, and west facing conservatory.
