Best Beaches

Swanage Beach is continually recognised as one of the cleanest beaches in the UK. This year the beach has once again been awarded the Blue Flag and Seaside Award for beach cleanliness and water quality. Down on the beach, you are sure to enjoy the golden sands that attract visitors in their droves every year. We recommend during the summer you look to head down to the beach early to guarantee yourself a great spot for the day. The beach can also offer a selection of watersports including pedaloes, kayaks, scuba diving, sailing, water-skiing, and wind surfing. Shore Road, Swanage, Dorset, BH19 1LB

A four-mile stretch of golden sands ideal for sunbathing and watersports. During the summer a range of activities are often available on the beach, including beach volleyball which is always popular with young kinds and energetic Dad’s. The sea here is perfect for swimming in, and the sand is sand-castle friendly. A word of caution: Roughly half-way along the beach you will find a designated nudist area, this will be signposted. Lulworth Cove

Lulworth Cove is a fabulous attraction that has been uniquely formed over time. The cove creates a horseshoe type shape, meaning it is sheltered from the elements of the weather. The shingle beach is pet-friendly, and some parts of the water are safe to swim in. You will also be able to choose from a few pubs and restaurants close by, for a bite to eat. Weymouth Beach is a very popular destination and is just a short stroll from the town centre, packed with cafés, restaurants and shops. The three mile expanse of sandy beach will be bustling with visitors during the summer months, and you will never be short of entertainment here. From beach volleyball to live music and sandcastle competitions. Weymouth is also a sailing hotspot and was home to the sailing events during the London 2012 Olympic Games. Weymouth, Dorset, DT4 7AN
