Herbert's Place has been recently refurbished to a high standard and offers a comfortable and welcoming base to explore the beautiful Isle of Purbeck, with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, private parking and secure rear garden; all within a 5 minute walk of the town centre and sandy beach. A light and airy living room has been thoughtfully decorated with local artwork, comfortable seating, large Smart TV with Free view, plus there’s plenty of books and games for the whole family to enjoy.
A fire surround with gas fire creates a cosy atmosphere to snuggle up on cooler evenings and the tall sash windows offer seasonal sea views.
The well-equipped, stylish and modern kitchen offers plenty of space to cook. There’s a dining table that can be extended, and rear door that leads onto the low maintenance garden which has been laid to patio and shingle. Garden chairs and tables are provided, and the fully fenced space helps creates a secure area for children to play safely.
Upstairs there’s a twin bedroom overlooking the garden, (the beds can also be joined together to create a super king bed; please advise bed make up when booking), king size bedroom with seasonal sea views and en-suite shower room plus a separate family bathroom with shower over bath. Overlooking the stairs lives Herbert the moose head, our fabric friend and property’s namesake!
There’s plenty to do nearby without needing to use your car. Close to Herberts Place lies the beautiful Durlston Country and Nature Reserve with access to the South West Coastal Path and the iconic Jurassic Coastline.
A 5 minute walk down the road will lead you straight into Swanage Town Centre; with its mix of independent shops, galleries and cafes there’s something for everyone of all ages. The sheltered sandy bay is great for family seaside activities. Step back in time and catch a steam train to the historic ruins of Corfe Castle, or take a trip on The Waverley; the world’s last working paddle steamer from the Victorian pier and view the stunning coastline in all its glory.
Bedrooms: 1) king size bed and en suite shower room 2) 2 x 3ft single beds that can be joined together; please inform us of bed make up when booking. Both bedrooms have roman blinds and blackout blinds fitted for guests’ comfort.
Bathrooms: family bathroom with shower over bath, W.C. basin and heated towel rail plus en-suite shower room
Kitchen/diner: electric oven and gas hob, fridge with icebox, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, DAB radio and USB sockets. Dining table that seats 4 plus can also be extended and door to rear garden.
Living room: large 3 seater sofa with coordinating foot stool plus additional armchairs, large Smart TV,with Freeview, games and books, gas fire and seasonal sea views.
